About the role
This is a Fixed Term Position until 5 April 2027
The Senior Records and Digitisation Officer supports the delivery of accurate, timely and customer-focused records and mail services in a complex and confidential environment. The role ensures compliance with Public Record Office Victoria standards, provides expert advice on records management, and acts as an escalation point for complex issues.
The position also supports mail distribution, courier logistics, and digital workflows using M365 tools. It contributes to continuous improvement, maintains reporting and financial administration tasks, and helps oversee team operations. The role supports the Team Leader, mentors staff and promotes a high-performing and professional team culture.

- Drives continuous improvement and applies records management expertise to ensure compliance, reduce risk and improve efficiency..

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- RIMPA Certified Experienced Records Management Professional (CERIM) qualification or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and experience. (mandatory)
- Applied knowledge of the Public Records Act 1973 and Public Record Office Victoria standards. (desirable)
- An ability to undertake screen-based work and occasional manual handling (up to 20kg), with willingness to complete required medical and security checks, including a National Police Check and Privileged User Access Declaration, and work operational hours as required.

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
