Network Design and Integration delivers transport priorities through the planning, development and maintenance of an integrated pipeline of projects and strategic initiatives that provide safe, efficient and sustainable outcomes to all Victorians.
The Public Transport Ticketing (PTT) System will ensure Victoria has a ticketing system that is fit for purpose for 15 years and beyond to meet customers’ expectations and the challenges of the transport network, while facilitating the efficient collection of fare revenues and unlocking potential benefits.The PTT system will replace the existing Myki system with Account Based Ticketing (ABT), where customer information is stored in a centralised back office system. ABT will enable greater travel choice for customers as well as flexibility to implement fare and policy changes quickly and to introduce new products. The PTT system will be rolled out progressively.

About the Role
The Senior Test Analyst role will be responsible for will be responsible for leading and coordinating comprehensive testing activities across multiple complex technical solutions, ensuring successful verification and validation of systems by collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders. This includes test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting, while providing expert guidance and maintaining rigorous quality standards throughout the testing lifecycle.

Position Outcomes /Accountabilities
Managed and provided oversight over testing activities for multiple, large scale and complex technical solutions delivered within the program.
Worked with suppliers in the planning of subsystem, system, integration, acceptance, and performance testing for the ticketing system and associated critical dependent upstream and downstream systems.
Ensured that test reports and evidence provided by suppliers met quality standards, accurately reflected test execution, and aligned with project requirements for seamless integration and delivery.
Contributed to test planning, including automation planning, scheduling, test preparation, test script and report development and review.
Key Selection Criteria
The Senior Test Analyst will lead and support high-quality testing activities across critical systems and projects. In this role, you will provide expert oversight and support for testing processes, ensuring successful verification and validation throughout the full testing lifecycle. You will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders, contributing to planning, execution, defect management, and detailed reporting while upholding rigorous quality standards.
You will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to evolving priorities, ensuring systems and processes are agile and aligned with departmental goals. A strong outcomes mindset is essential, with the ability to measure and monitor the impact of your work on the broader community. You will foster a culture of collaboration, working across teams to break down barriers to information sharing and drive results.
Technically, you bring a strong capability in test analysis, functional, and non-functional testing. You can design, execute, and oversee a range of testing techniques, communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, and make sound decisions on testing environments. You also advise others on best practices and continuously seek ways to improve testing approaches.
Mandatory:
5+ years in a Senior Test Analyst Role, preferably in a project environment
Desirable:
A relevant tertiary qualification in ICT or related discipline.
