About the Role

Job Location: 1 Spring Street, Melbourne

A Senior Transport Safety Investigator at OCI draws on their extensive knowledge and industry experience to support the goal of investigations that make a difference to safety. OCI is a small team and this senior role will contribute to most investigations and take a leading role in several.

This investigation role combines the application of skills in project management, evidence collection, analysis and synthesis, and complementary research. The role also demands exceptional written and verbal communication both within OCI and with external stakeholders. The preparation of accurate reports for a varied readership is also a critical part of the role.

For this position we are seeking a person with qualifications and experience relevant to public transport, maritime or human factors to expand OCI capability and capacity in these areas. The role will also demand adaptability, and the opportunity, to work across other surface transport modes, and in areas outside the appointee’s core discipline.
