About the role

 

This is a full time fixed term position until 19/03/2027


This role provides expert property valuation advice to government and manages complex, urgent and sensitive valuation work. It works closely with the Valuer-General, internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver accurate, compliant valuations in line with legislation and standards. The role also supports service delivery, contributes to policy and process improvements, and helps guide and develop staff. Success in this role ensures high-quality, trusted valuations that support government decisions, maintain strong standards and build confidence in public sector valuation practices.

Qualifications and experience

You’ll bring:

 

  • Completion of an appropriate tertiary qualification with Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) status and membership with the Australian Property Institute (API) (mandatory).
  • Knowledge of the Valuation of Land Act 1960, and other relevant legislation, regulations and standards governing the provision of valuation advice by the Valuer-General (mandatory).
  • Experience in valuations for a variety of government purposes (highly desirable).
  • Knowledge of the government processes and land administration matters (desirable).
  • Driver’s License (mandatory)

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
