About the role

 

We are seeking a new Strategic Commercial Manager to join the team. The role is responsible for developing and implementing a range of activities to support the commercial function across VIDA Rail. A key focus of the role will be to identify opportunities to ensure consistent and streamlined commercial activities across VIDA Rail.

 

In the role you will:

 

  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to the VIDA Rail project teams on procurement strategies, commercial frameworks, approvals requirements and controls.
  • Develop and implement commercial and contract management processes and procedures across VIDA Rail construction projects.
  • Assist with driving a consistent and streamlined approach for all commercial management and contract administration of VIDA Rail construction agreements.
  • Oversee the preparation, implementation and maintenance of procurement and contract administration documentation, systems and plans for a program of works during all phases of projects.

 

This is a 3-year fixed term position, paying a salary between $138,631 - $185,518 plus superannuation with hybrid working arrangement (a mix of office and home/remote based working).

Let’s get technical – what skills do we expect you to have? 

 

  • A degree in law, commerce, economics, business, management, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding and extensive experience in managing commercial and contractual issues during all stages of the project life cycle.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and managing complex major contracts, and other significant procurements, preferably for infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop complex procurement documentation and written briefs to senior executives, government or boards.
  • Experience in alliance contracting is preferred
