About the role
Transport Services delivers safe, reliable and accessible transport infrastructure and services across Victoria. Within the Public Transport Division, the Bus Services branch oversees bus operations, manages contracts and infrastructure, and works to improve the travel experience for passengers and communities.
The Surveillance Officer supports the delivery of high-quality bus stop infrastructure by inspecting construction and maintenance works, conducting site surveillance, and assessing completed projects. The role ensures works are safe, accessible, meet required standards and contractual obligations, identifies defects, prepares reports, resolves issues, and maintains accurate records and data on completed infrastructure.

- Has experience in technical assurance, testing and evaluation, ensuring work is completed to required standards and quality expectations.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- A valid current Victorian Driver Licence (mandatory).
- A valid current Construction Induction (White Card) (mandatory).
- Has experience in civil construction, road maintenance, or construction surveillance (desirable).
Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
Recipients of Victorian Public Service (VPS) voluntary departure packages should note that re-employment restrictions apply.
