About the role

 

The Systems Assurance Manager leads the development and implementation of program wide systems engineering and systems assurance framework across VIDA Rail projects. This position is responsible for the management and governance on VIDA Rail projects ensuring specification of project requirements and their progressive and objective demonstration of compliance. The role provides leadership support to development teams, projects teams and delivery partners to deliver high quality deliverables that meet the VIDA Rail objectives including the requirements of the Rail Franchisee's Safety Accreditation processes.

 

In this role you will

 

  • Manage and develop the team consisting of systems engineering, requirements engineering and assurance engineering specialist and managers
  • Manage the development and implementation of VIDA Rail's program wide systems engineering, systems assurance, system safety assurance, quality and RAMS frameworks, plans, processes and tools across VIDA Rail
  • Drive an integrated approach to development, delivery and completions using lean systems engineering and systems assurance practices across the program

 

On a weekly basis you’ll be required to work two days from the CBD office (Wednesday and Thursday) with the remaining days working from home.

 

This is a 3-year fixed term position, paying a salary between $188,297 - $256,088 plus superannuation.

 

About you

 

Let’s get technical – what skills do we expect you to have? 

 

  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and to manage and communicate project implications of complex technical issues.
  • Knowledge of the Victorian rail network.
  • Extensive leadership experience in systems engineering and systems assurance roles for modern metro rail systems within complex, multi-discipline rail design and construction projects and environments.
  • Extensive experience of rail operations, system safety, RAMS and Rail Safety National Law application.
  • Demonstrated ability in achieving an integrated approach to development and delivery using fit for purpose systems engineering and systems assurance practices.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or relevant field.
