About the Role
Job Location: 1 Spring Street, Melbourne
The role drives integrated, place-based transport and land use outcomes across Spatial Planning programs, with a strong focus on supporting growth area and greenfield development.
In metropolitan and regional greenfield areas, the role leads transport planning inputs to precinct and corridor planning by supporting network design, developing transport plans, identifying key transport stage gates, and integrating projects into Infrastructure Contribution Plans and Works in Kind arrangements.
The role also contributes to established urban area planning by informing integrated transport plans, identifying place-based transport needs, and sequencing transport programs aligned with development and employment growth.
Working closely with network transport planners, the role supports strategic land use and transport integration, including greenfield PSP sequencing, growth corridor planning, and identifying housing and employment opportunities aligned with existing and future network capacity.
The role collaborates across strategic and operational teams, working seamlessly with land use planners to deliver coordinated spatial planning outcomes.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- A minimum of five (5) years demonstrated professional experience in transport planning and/or traffic engineering. (Mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience in greenfield development planning and/or Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) preparation is highly desirable (Desirable)
- A relevant tertiary degree in civil engineering or equivalent engineering degree (Desirable)
