About the role
VPS5 | Fixed Term until 31 December 2026
The Variations Senior Analyst provides high-quality commercial analysis and assessment of contract variations and claims submitted by the metropolitan train franchisee. This includes evaluating the financial impact of changes to the rail network resulting from major infrastructure works and other initiatives under the franchise agreement.
Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you’ll review claims data, verify supporting evidence, and prepare reports, briefings and advice to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. You’ll contribute to frameworks that strengthen oversight and continuous improvement in contract management processes.

What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex commercial and financial information. You’ll work effectively across teams and build constructive relationships with stakeholders. A relevant tertiary qualification is required, with experience in large infrastructure or contract management environments highly regarded.
