About the Role

This is an Ongoing opportunity

The Workplace Operations Leasing Officer is responsible for the effective day to day management of the Department’s operational property portfolio, including management of leased properties (both landlord and tenant), negotiation of straightforward property agreements and the provision of advice to inform outcomes.

This valuable role is responsible for regular reporting on the performance of the property portfolio,

Position Accountabilities

  • Negotiates and manages straightforward, property agreements, including leases, licences, occupancy agreements and memoranda of understanding.
  • Applies negotiation and persuasion skills to the development and management of property agreements.
  • Clearly communicates to convey specialist concepts and policies to clients, staff and stakeholders.
  • Prepares reports, briefs and correspondence on complex issues that impact at program or organisational level. – Undertakes complex property investigations and makes recommendations for action.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or significant experience in property management and/or real estate (mandatory)
  • Property experience in a government context is desired (desirable)

Other Information

  • This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid driver's license
