About the role 
This is a Fixed Term Position until 30 July 2027
The Workplace Operations Officer supports the delivery of facilities and workplace operations across Departmental sites by coordinating maintenance, managing contractors, responding to workplace issues, and providing high-quality customer service. The role also develops preventative maintenance schedules, manages reactive maintenance, builds strong relationships with service providers and stakeholders, and helps ensure assets are managed efficiently.

The role resolves operational service issues, negotiates to deliver works on time and within budget, communicates technical information clearly, investigates complex issues and recommends solutions, and prepares project scopes and work briefs in line with relevant policies and legislation.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or significant experience in a similar role ( desirable)
  • Property, facilities or workplace management experience in a government context is desired (desirable)
