Title: Business Performance Lead
About the role
We’re looking for a Business Performance Lead to support the performance, planning and reporting of ITS and Signal Services business functions.
In this role, you will:
- help track and improve business performance by analysing data, monitoring budgets, tracking financial performance and supporting workforce and resource planning
- work across the branch and with other parts of the Department to provide clear reporting, insights and advice that support better decision-making.
A key part of the role is developing and maintaining tools and dashboards (including Excel and Power BI) to support reporting on budgets, risks, resource use and business performance. You will also support business planning, risk management, business continuity activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role sits at the intersection of business operations and performance governance, helping ensure the branch is well informed, well planned and delivering effectively.

You're someone who has:
- Strong stakeholder management skills, building trusted partnerships and delivering shared outcomes
- Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking, identifying root causes and implementing practical solutions
- Applied data literacy, including Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and Power BI reporting support
- Business analysis and commercial acumen, focusing on efficiency and routine problem-solving
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation to enhance processes and outcomes
- Flexible and adaptable, able to respond quickly to changing priorities and demands

Qualifications and experience
You'll bring:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant or related discipline
- 3+ years’ experience in advanced data analysis using excel and preferably PowerBI.
- High degree of attention to details and take pride in quality of services provided
- This position requires the incumbent to have a sound knowledge of extracting data from various systems like Oracle, VGP, SafeT etc and perform data analysis and visualisation to develop performance dashboards.
