About the role
This is a fixed term role untile 28th August 2026
The Compliance Officer - Concession Deed will identify issues of non-compliance with the VicRoads Concession Deed. This role will support the delivery of trusted risk-based compliance and assurance strategies. This position will assess and provide advice and reporting to senior leadership.
Key Selection Criteria
Proven ability to interpret legislation, regulations, and standards affecting compliance with the VicRoads Concession Deed, and to apply strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyse trends, and provide practical recommendations. Experienced in developing and implementing compliance frameworks and management systems, while effectively managing multiple programs to deliver outcomes within tight deadlines. Excellent written communication skills for preparing specialised reports to senior leaders, with a motivated and results-driven approach to achieving business goals.

Position accountabilities
- Exercise professional independent judgement during compliance activities to identify issues of non-compliance with the VicRoads Concession Deed and the ability to prepare supporting detailed reports
- Skilfully lead or significantly contribute to the development and implementation of risk-based compliance programs
- Schedule and delivered comprehensive programs of compliance activities in accordance with defined audit methodologies and guidelines Position Description
- Confidently assess and presented advice to senior leaders regarding technical matters affecting compliance demonstrating a strong awareness of legislation, regulations and other relevant policy or guidelines
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external service providers including the ability to communicate compliance data at relevant forums
- Be proactive and possess the motivation to positively contribute to a high performing team and positive culture of achievement
- Respond to issues within specified timelines in accordance with DTP's policies and procedures, escalating where necessary.
- In line with Section 31A of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic) other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities
Qualifications and experience
Mandatory
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and experience relevant to the requirements role
Role Specfic Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to undertake significant travel in metro, regional and interstate locations
Ordinary hours of work
Ordinary hours of work are Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 7:00pm.
