About the role
What we’re looking for (Selection Criteria)
You’re someone who:

Enjoys working with technical standards and legislation, and applying your knowledge to real compliance issues.

Can interpret vehicle standards, laws and design rules to assess registration compliance.

Can analyse complex problems, identify trends, and make practical recommendations to improve compliance outcomes.

Can use compliance frameworks, systems and tools to plan, prioritise and deliver work to agreed standards.

Can write clear, well-structured reports for senior leaders and build strong relationships to manage challenging conversations and achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:

Recognised formal vehicle engineering or vehicle trade qualifications in an automotive vehicle mechanical discipline, including a formal licensed vehicle tester (LVT) accreditation or an ability to gain admission to become an accredited LVT.
Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
Recipients of Victorian Public Service (VPS) voluntary departure packages should note that re-employment restrictions apply.
