About the role 

The Engineer / Technical Officer Road Design supports the design, documentation and delivery of road and traffic engineering projects across Victoria. Working under supervision, the role contributes to projects from concept through to detailed design, including road layouts, intersections, drainage, safety barriers, signage, line marking and 3D modelling.

The role uses MicroStation and OpenRoads to develop designs, drawings and project documentation within agreed timeframes and budgets. It applies road design and traffic engineering standards and supports Safe Systems principles to improve road safety. The role also builds effective stakeholder relationships and prepares reports, briefs and technical advice.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

• Victorian Driver’s License
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Ability to travel within the state for site inspections 

Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
