About the role


This role supports the accurate accounting and reporting of the department’s assets. It prepares reconciliations, tracks project costs and helps ensure assets are correctly recorded, valued and reported. The role works closely with project teams, finance staff and auditors to gather information, check data and meet reporting requirements. It also contributes to the annual financial statements. Success in this role ensures asset records are accurate and reliable, supporting good financial management, compliance with standards and informed decision-making across the department. 

 


What we’re looking for 

You’re someone who can;

 

  • Enjoys working with financial data and ensuring accuracy in asset records and reporting.
  • Can support asset accounting processes, including capitalisation, valuation, depreciation and reconciliations.
  • Can prepare accurate financial information and ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting requirements.
  • Can work with stakeholders and auditors to gather information and meet audit and reporting deadlines.
  • Can analyse information, improve processes and support others to follow asset management policies and procedures.

Qualifications and experience

You’ll bring:

 

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications or relevant experience to meet the capabilities of the role (Desirable).

 

Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
