About the role 

The Manager, Network Resilience provides strategic advice and assurance to support a resilient, reliable and disruption-ready transport network. The role works closely with the Department, councils, operators and delivery teams to balance operational priorities with strategic objectives, monitor network performance and communicate emerging risks and trends.

The role leads executive reporting, briefings and ministerial correspondence, while driving continuous improvement through lessons learned, risk management and improved processes. It also leads and develops the Senior Advisor, setting priorities, building capability and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team focused on both immediate outcomes and long-term network resilience.

  • Influences and negotiates effectively, developing strategic approaches to build support and achieve outcomes across diverse stakeholders.
  • Communicates complex information clearly and concisely, producing high-quality executive briefings and advice that support informed decision-making.
  • Thinks strategically, provides authoritative advice on complex issues, and demonstrates resilience, confidence and constructive judgement when navigating challenge or change.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • Minimum 2 years people leadership experience.
