About the role

This is an Ongoing fulltime position.

This role supports the Manager Medical Review by handling complex medical cases that have been escalated, providing medical advice, and making fitness-to-drive decisions using the relevant guidelines and legislation. They analyse trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The role influences and supports both internal teams and external stakeholders by providing guidance, education, and clear communication. Success ensures fair, consistent, and timely decisions, strengthens stakeholder relationships, reduces business risks, and helps improve processes, capability, and outcomes for customers and the organisation.

Qualifications and experience

  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and registered to work in Victoria (mandatory).
  • Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in a range of health-related fields. (desirable)
  • Holds a current and valid driver licence, free of serious driving convictions for a period of time specified in the relevant regulations (mandatory).

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
