About the role
This is an Ongoing fulltime role.
The Medical Review Officer reviews and resolves medical cases to make fitness-to-drive decisions following legislation, policies and guidelines. They manage driving test bookings across Victoria, liaise with customers, colleagues and external stakeholders and provide clear, accurate advice and correspondence. The role supports remote workers, ensures privacy of sensitive information and contributes to team goals by sharing knowledge and helping less experienced staff. Success in this role ensures safe, informed driving decisions, high-quality customer service and smooth, efficient operations across the Victorian Medical Review portfolio.

Qualifications and experience
Mandatory
– If a driver licence is held, it must be current and valid, free of serious driving convictions for a period of time specified in the relevant regulations (mandatory).
– Experience relevant to the capabilities of the role.
Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
Recipients of Victorian Public Service (VPS) voluntary departure packages should note that re-employment restrictions apply.
