About the role
As the Roadside Delivery Lead, you will play a key role in the successful execution of the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract, (Metro East) acting as a key driver of operational performance, stakeholder engagement, and strategic oversight in relation to the roadside and environment. This opportunity will ensure the effective delivery of routine roadside maintenance services across the Metro Eastern Region and managing the annual programme. You will manage a diverse portfolio of works, addressing emerging issues, drive continuous improvement, and deliver value-for-money outcomes for all stakeholders

This opportunity requires strong stakeholder management skill and the ability to build value-driven relationships and effectively resolve issues. You confidently manage difficult conversations, negotiating outcomes and coaching others to reach practical solutions. With a sound understanding of political and organisational context, you can navigate complex environments while ensuring decisions align with values, policies and obligations. You can apply critical thinking to analyse challenges and deliver effective solutions. Strong project delivery capability enables you to coordinate tasks, monitor progress and achieve outcomes. You also demonstrate commercial awareness, managing costs and ensuring accountability in vendor and operational performance.

Qualifications and experience
Mandatory
Experience relevant to the capabilities of the role.
Desirable
Construction White Card - highly desirable
Tertiary qualification in a relevant or a related discipline.
Other position-specific requirements
Victorian Driver’s license
Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
