About the Role

This is a 9-Month Fixed Term Opportunity

Job Location: Ringwood, Melbourne

The Senior Finance Business Partner – Road Maintenance leads financial support for road maintenance projects. They manage budgets, monitor spending, and prepare clear financial reports. The role works closely with business units, project teams, and senior leaders, acting as a key contact for financial advice and coordination. They influence decisions by providing accurate analysis and ensuring compliance with financial rules. Success in this role means strong financial control, reliable reporting, and better-informed decisions that keep road maintenance projects on track and aligned with organisational priorities.

 

What we’re looking for (Selection Criteria) 

You’re someone who: 

  • Enjoys working with numbers, improving financial processes, and helping teams make better decisions.
  • Can manage budgets, analyse financial data, and prepare clear, useful reports.
  • Can build strong relationships, communicate clearly, and influence stakeholders to support good financial outcomes.
  • Has experience in financial management (ideally in project environments) and using financial systems like Oracle or similar.
  • Can lead people, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement while working collaboratively across teams.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: (Desirable)

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant or a related discipline such as Finance and/or Project Cost Control.
  • Membership of CPA or CA
  • Relevant Finance, Project Cost Control or Accounting degree which includes all foundation requirements  

 

Pre-employment checks and employment conditions  

Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.
