About the Role
Fixed Term – 30/06/27

This role leads the delivery of initiatives to consolidate DTP’s technology environment, including a single source of truth for access management and a unified Standard Operating Environment. It involves managing complex system changes, testing, and change management, while building strong partnerships with stakeholders and service providers to achieve key outcomes.

Position Outcomes

  • Manages the delivery of technical and organisational changes to enable a remove duplication of identity management systems and supporting services together with changes to related systems necessary to enable the changes
  • Facilitates necessary discussions to ensure agreement between on the technical changes and target state operational model required for ongoing support

policies, procedures and services to internal and external stakeholders

  • Ensures the project scope and objectives are understood by all stakeholders and any changes are managed through a structured process
  • Ensures roles and responsibilities of the project team are understood by the project team
  • Delivers on time and to budget using project management techniques appropriate for the scale and complexity of the project

 

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA - As the Senior Project Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of complex technical and organisational change initiatives, focusing on eliminating duplication across identity management systems and enabling a streamlined operational model. You will align stakeholders around a unified vision, facilitate critical technical discussions, and ensure project scope, objectives, and roles are clearly understood. Leveraging your strategic leadership and stakeholder management expertise, you will overcome technical and organisational challenges through proactive risk management. Your strengths in project delivery, capability development, and strategic planning will ensure timely outcomes and lasting operational improvements.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Mandatory

  • Experience relevant to the capabilities required of the role
  • Professional qualification in project management methodologies appropriate for the role
  • Broad experience in demonstrating delivery of organisational outcomes through complex technical projects
  • Experience in “high risk / high value” initiative delivery throughout the full lifecycle
  • Experience in working in large and complex environments (preferably public sector)
