About the role 

This is a Fixed Term Position until 30 June 2027

The Automation Test Analyst supports enterprise technology initiatives by analysing business and technical requirements and designing, developing and maintaining automated testing solutions. The role uses Playwright, TypeScript, Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and data-driven testing to deliver scalable, reusable and reliable automation frameworks.

Working closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Solution Architects, Functional Testers and Project teams, the role develops and executes functional and regression test suites, investigates failures and supports defect resolution. It also identifies opportunities for automation, maintains test assets and documentation, and contributes to testing standards, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement to support high-quality technology delivery.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • Strong automation testing experience, including 3+ years in a similar role (mandatory), 1–2 years’ hands-on Playwright and TypeScript experience (mandatory), and expertise in BDD, POM and data-driven testing (mandatory).
  • Proven enterprise testing and delivery capability, including developing and maintaining functional and regression test suites (mandatory), using Git/Bitbucket and Azure DevOps for source control, CI, testing and releases (mandatory).
  • Strong analytical and technical capability, with experience investigating automation failures, conducting root cause analysis and resolving defects (mandatory), with enterprise technology experience and industry test automation qualifications desirable.
