About the role  

The Medical Review Officer assesses and manages medical review cases to make fitness to drive decisions in line with legislation, policies and guidelines. The role requires reviewing health information, applying professional judgement, providing specialist advice, maintaining accurate records and ensuring customer information is handled securely and confidentially. 

The position also coordinates driving test appointments across Victoria, prepares clear correspondence, supports process improvements and provides high-quality customer service. Working collaboratively within the team, the role contributes to achieving performance outcomes, supports colleagues and maintains strong knowledge of systems, procedures and the Medical Review portfolio.

Qualifications and experience  

You’ll bring:  

  • Experience relevant to the capabilities and requirements of the role. 

  • A current and valid driver licence, with no serious driving convictions for the required period under relevant regulations (mandatory). 

Pre-employment checks and employment conditions

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
