Title: Director, Health
The Director Health leads and manages teams to provide strategic advice to the Premier, Secretary and senior executives on policy, programs, and issues relating to the branch’s portfolios.
The branch you will lead provides high-quality strategic analysis and advice on a range of policy issues related to the Department of Health portfolios to support the Premier and Cabinet. The Branch also contrubutes to the development and delivery of key priority projects from a whole-of-goverment perspective across hospitals and health services, primary and community health, public health, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, aging and aged care.
This opportunity would suit a motivated individual with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, as well as demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills. The Director role oversees the delivery of timely, accurate and quality advice to the Secretary of DPC and the Premier reviewing policy proposals, undertaking policy analysis, and assessing the impact of government decisions and actions. Advice can relate to matters of new policy, or assurance around implementation of key government priority initiatives in the health portfolio. You will also work closely with areas within DPC and other key departments across government.
