About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Department of Premier and Cabinet, as Adviser Protocol and Events.

The Protocol and Events team, part of the Strategic Communications, Engagement and Protocol (SCEP) provides advice on matters of protocol, state and national observances and conventions. The team delivers ceremonial and special events of state significance and international visits; manages the planning and implementation of various major events and programs; and is responsible for the administration of significant awards programs in Victoria. 

To be successful in this role, you will be client-focussed, have event coordination skills, strong event administration and event delivery experience.
 

About you
As our ideal candidate you will have:

  • Experience planning a range of events in a time critical environment
  • Demonstrate experience working on procurement and supplier engagement for events
  • Strong skills in event or project administration.

 

Mandatory requirements

  • Experience delivering events in a government context (or similar).
  • Experience with the following systems (or similar) – Microsoft Office, SharePoint, TRIM/Content Manager, EventsAir.

 

This is a fixed term role available until May 2027. This position is only open to applicants with relevant rights to work in Australia.
