Title: Executive Director, Self Determination Policy, Partnerships and Accountability
DPC is seeking an Executive Director to lead the Self-Determination, partnerships, policy and Accountability Division. The Division leads whole-of-government priorities by providing strategic, evidence-based advice on First Peoples policy, including progressing self-determination reform efforts, and driving and coordinating the implementation of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap. The division also leads the state response to the historic Yoorrook Justice Commission
This role will drive whole of government policy, self-determination, and community engagement to improve services and outcomes for Victoria’s Aboriginal communities including leading the coordination of the Victoria’s work on Closing the Gap. This role will also lead and maintain strong, collaborative and productive relationships with stakeholders within and outside of government to respond to the ongoing work of the Yoorrook Justice Commission and lead the delivery of high quality and timely briefs, submissions, reports and correspondence on a range of complex and/or sensitive issues.
