This role leads a team within the Families, Fairness and Housing Branch of the Department of Premier and Cabinet. Reporting to the Director, Families, Fairness and Housing Branch, you will lead and manage a team and provide authoritative and expert advice to the Premier, Ministers, Secretary and senior executives on policy, programs, and issues.
In this role, you will be part of a high performing and supportive team, reviewing policy proposals, undertaking policy analysis, and assessing the impact of government decisions and actions. You will also work closely with other key departments and areas within DPC.
This position requires you to deal with sensitive issues in a confidential manner and with a high degree of accuracy in short time frames. The role additionally requires a proactive self-starter with a good understanding of government processes and an ability to work in a complex, sensitive and fast paced environment.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual, with demonstrated strong policy, analytical and communication skills coupled with an ability to influence senior stakeholders and effectively manage and be a supportive team leader.
