The Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is seeking 3 x talented VPS4 Policy Officers to join its Multicultural Affairs Policy Branch.   

As Policy Officer, you will be responsible for providing high quality policy and program delivery advice to support Victoria’s diverse multicultural communities, including on whole of government reforms and policies focused on supporting priority, new and emerging multicultural communities.

This role will contribute to the implementation and oversight of key Multicultural Affairs initiatives, such as whole of government strategies, secretariat duties, the portfolio’s responsibilities under key government reforms, and strategic programs and initiatives.

The successful candidate will demonstrate sound policy, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills to support the provision of advice to the Minister for Multicultural Affairs, the Premier and Deputy Premier, the Secretary, and senior executives on matters relevant to the portfolio. Delivery of this work will also require effective communication, stakeholder engagement and project management skills to deliver high-quality briefs, written advice and analysis.

You will be responsible for supporting effective relationships with key stakeholders across government and non-government sectors to support effective policy and program delivery.
