Title: Senior Adviser, Policy
Senior Adviser, Policy & Integrity – VPS5 – Ongoing (Flexible – full time / part time)
What you’ll do
This Senior Adviser role is one of three Senior Adviser roles in the Policy & Integrity team in the Strategy, Policy, Integrity and First Peoples branch. The team is responsible for delivering a range of policy-related functions associated with the Commission’s key strategic areas and operational integrity functions. The role supports the range of functions of the team, with an initial focus on developing a whole of government mobility framework to support consistent enactment of the mobility principles and foster a career public service.

We’re looking for a strategic and adaptable policy professional with strong stakeholder management and communication skills. You’ll bring sound policy development and critical thinking capabilities, with the ability to turn complex issues into clear, evidence-based advice and practical solutions. You’ll be comfortable managing projects, responding to changing priorities and working collaboratively across teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.
The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in public policy, public administration or a related discipline, and/or significant public policy experience in a government context.
Experience and qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- A tertiary qualification in public policy or related disciplines and/or significant experience in public policy in a government context.
One or more of the following will be highly regarded:
- Public sector experience working in one or more of the following areas of focus: public sector workforce or integrity policy.
