Senior Adviser – VPS 5 – Ongoing (2 roles available)

What you’ll do

The 2 x Senior Adviser roles are in the Agency Performance Branch.

The Branch is responsible for:

  • Delivering the agency performance function, designed to assess the readiness of VPS agencies to deliver on future public sector requirements and challenges
  • Monitoring and reporting on sector performance on integrity, capability, diversity, equity and inclusion and other related obligations

Advice and sharing of best practice to improve public sector efficiency and effectiveness, integrity and capability.

The roles require a strong passion and commitment for public service and exceptional written, analytical, conceptual and stakeholder engagement skills.

Selection criteria

You should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in policy, evaluation and/or performance monitoring in a government environment
  • A strong capacity for critical thinking and problem solving
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Strong experience in working with senior stakeholders
  • Exception written and interpersonal skills
  • A tertiary qualification in public policy, public administration or similar
