VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial management of VIDA Health’s major health infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Manager, FP&A, you’ll partner closely with project teams, cost controllers and senior leaders to provide high-quality financial advice, robust analysis and clear insights that support informed decision-making.
You’ll manage a dedicated portfolio, acting as a trusted advisor on budgeting, forecasting, cost management and funding, while strengthening financial capability across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working collaboratively, influencing outcomes and applying financial expertise in a complex, project-driven environment.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Partnering with project teams and senior leaders to provide tailored financial advice across assigned portfolios.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cost management, capitalisation and funding decisions.
- Preparing clear, evidence-based financial reports, briefings and business cases for executive audiences.
- Using financial data and analytics to identify risks, opportunities and emerging cost pressures.
- Supporting strategic planning, scenario modelling and funding alignment for major projects.
- Building financial capability across finance and non-finance stakeholders through coaching and guidance.
- Ensuring compliance with public sector financial frameworks, legislation and VIDA Health policies.
We are looking for:
- An experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial partnering, forecasting and budget management.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear, practical financial advice to executives and senior leaders.
- Experience working across complex portfolios in a project or infrastructure-focused environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights.
- A collaborative communicator who builds trusted relationships and influences decision-making.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage competing priorities with confidence.

Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline (mandatory).
- CPA, CA or equivalent professional accreditation (highly desirable).
