The Revenue Group is responsible for leading Victorian government policy analysis and providing expert advice to Government on tax policy and reform of state taxes, gambling policy, intergovernmental financial relations – particularly in relation to the distribution and design of Commonwealth funding to states and territories – and revenue forecasting, including projections of Victoria’s GST revenue and state own source revenues.

 

About the role

As the Executive Assistant supporting the Executive Directors of Economic and Revenue Groups, you will be the go-to person ensuring the seamless running of day-to-day activities across the groups. You will manage complex executive schedules, discreetly handle confidential information, and support the efficient processing of documents in a dynamic and fast-paced organisation. In short, you’ll provide critical administrative support that enables senior leaders to focus on strategic priorities, and for teams to function smoothly.

Key selection criteria

 

  • Demonstrated experience supporting executives in fast paced environments.
  • A proactive mindset in identifying and solving problems.
  • High integrity and experience handling confidential information.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with proven ability to manage multiple competing tasks, and able to adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, use initiative and exercise sound judgement.
  • Experience with travel planning and event coordination.

Experience and qualifications

  • Proven experience providing high level executive and administrative support.
  • Highly developed computer skills, including proficiency in a range of software programs such as MS Office, Outlook, records-management and document-approval systems such as HPE Content Manager and ABC briefing system, and FinCloud (or equivalent).
