The Infrastructure Division
The Infrastructure Division's primary focus is providing advice and project assurance to Government on the State's capital investments. This includes providing integrated policy, financial, commercial and technical advice on infrastructure project delivery throughout all phases of development and implementation. The Division has four groups that provide:

frameworks, guidance and policy advice to government on infrastructure planning, investment prioritisation and budgeting;

policy frameworks, advice and project assurance on procurement, commercial contracting and delivery;

reforms and strategic improvements to manage whole of government pipeline risks and opportunities; and
-
data and analytics on the capital program and strategic research across the sector.
About the role
The position reports to the Senior Manager, Strategic Improvements, and will contribute to the successful delivery of the teams’ initiatives related to the Government’s infrastructure investment program. Day to day work in this role involves collaborating with team members and colleagues across DTF and the VPS, applying analytical reasoning to a range of diverse policy issues and problems and communicating this clearly both orally and in writing. The ability to produce good quality, accurate written materials for Ministers and executives, often within short timeframes, is essential.
Key Accountabilities

Contribute to policy development by undertaking evidence-based research, interpreting and synthesising various sources of information and data.

Support the efficient delivery of policy projects, driving project management innovations and improvements.

Support drafting of high-quality, timely and fit-for-purpose written communications including policies, reports, briefings, and correspondence, adhering to appropriate document management practices.

Build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders from government departments and agencies, as well as industry, to facilitate the achievement of outcomes.

Contribute to a positive workplace culture and practices demonstrating a commitment to teamwork across the whole branch by providing peer support/feedback to other team members and the manager

Undertake other duties as required and in-line with a position of this grade and skills requirement.
Experience and qualifications
A relevant qualification (e.g. Public Policy, Planning, Commerce, Law, Arts, Economics Organisational Development, Engineering, Project Management).
